“I started my training at age 15, in an old firm of Victorian Architects in Scotland. We did all types of work, even restoring old castles by hand excavation. We did gravestones, laying out the lettering, and salmon ladders, and surveying. The firm was the old school where you are actually the master builder. We did our own structural. We did our own mechanical. We did our own electrical designs. It was fantastic training.” Ron Beaton
